The Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Marouane Abassi, said that the bank could not easily access to funds flowing to Tunisian parties.
In a statement to “JDD TUNISIE”, Abbasi indicated that the legal framework regulating the Central Bank does not, in some cases, authorize it to access all bank balances, contrary to what many believe.
The Court of Auditors had referred to the Central Bank a nominal list of about 140 politicians included in the decision of verifying their accounts with all Tunisian banks.
