The World Bank reiterated that it is still committed to supporting the economic recovery program in Tunisia in order to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth, and to ensure the financing of the social coverage program, according to what the World Bank Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa Farid Belhaj said in a blog post published Monday on his Facebook page.

The post stated that the World Bank had held an important meeting with Prime Minister Najla Bouden, her economic team, and the Governor of the Central Bank.

In his blog, Belhaj stated that holding this meeting comes at a time when Tunisia is experiencing an “acute” economic and social crisis, as he described it.
