In this context, the organization welcomes the “exceptional result” achieved by Tunisia during the three national days of vaccination against the coronavirus on August 8, 15 and 29, 2021.

“More than 1,600,000 people were vaccinated during these three days. This is an exceptional result which testifies to the dynamism and the commitment of all actors to respond effectively to the health crisis and cope with the COVID epidemic “, indicates the WHO.

According to the press release, thanks to the efforts of health authorities, logistics managers, health professionals, civil society and international partners who have delivered millions of doses to Tunisia through the COVAX initiative or as part of bilateral donations, lives will be spared, contaminations will be avoided and the health system will be better equipped to face new waves of epidemics.
