It took all the know-how of a certain Saïd Jaziri to shed some light on the functioning of justice in relation to the very content of the 2014 Super Constitution. Once again, it is the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA) which is in the sights of our real rulers, those who have taken up residence in the Bardo hemicycle and who have just taken those who operate at La Kasbah hostage.

In Parliament, the offensives directed against the HAICA can no longer be counted, especially after the declaration of open war between this constitutional body and certain media which operate freely in disconcerting illegality.

Just list these media to understand everything. They are essentially, the television channels of Zitouna Tv, Nessma Tv, Hannibal and the underground radio al Quran al Karim of the famous and mysterious deputy Saïd Jaziri, whose alignment with the Islamists is only a “Polichinelle secret”.

Haro on the HAICA

This radio station, as well as the channels mentioned, all committed to the cause of the Ennahdha and Qalb Tounès parties, continue to broadcast illegally with total impunity. And it took HAICA to decide to put its nose in it to find itself in the mouth of the wolf.

Said Al Jaziri

Suddenly, demonization campaigns have followed one another, making this HAICA the target of all criticism and even the most cynical threats.

And it was not until the Court of Auditors report on the legislative and presidential elections of 2019 and the electoral campaigns financed by foreign parties and strongly supported by the cited media to add even more fuel to the fire.

Continuing its momentum, despite threats and smear campaigns, the HAICA decided, a few weeks ago, to go on the offensive against the information “pirates” and to seize the material of the al Quran radio station. that the deputy Saïd Jaziri is proud to own and manage.

And that’s when the show turned drama. Jaziri, caught off guard by this completely legal action, chose to go to court and filed a complaint against HAICA. It is, one would say, in its own right, but from there to consider the action of this constitutional authority as an act of theft and attempted murder, there is a very dangerous threshold that our honorable deputy has voluntarily crossed .

And as was to be expected, in a country where politics mingle with justice, the public prosecutor, near the Zaghouan court, quickly decided to summon Nouri Lejmi, the president of HAICA, who is found, by force of circumstance and tricks, in the box of the accused while he did nothing but apply the law.

Worse still, the same prosecutor gave his instructions to prevent the defense committee accompanying Mr. Lejmi from accessing the scheduled interrogation. And as if this bad taste show was not enough, it turned out that this radio station is recorded in the name of Saïd Jaziri’s brother and that, legally, the latter does not have the right to lodge a complaint on his behalf, not being the legal representative of this clandestine radio.

The unfortunate thing is that the prosecutor in question got wind of this news, but he simply said that he did not know it!

Yes, the world is upside down, because we have a situation where a smuggler dares to file a complaint against a customs officer who has seized his illegally acquired goods and the prosecutor accepts such a complaint and acts accordingly.

It Becomes a Rule

In the image of a Rached Khiari who continues to enjoy total freedom while he has much to account for his serious accusations against Kais Saied, the President of the Republic, MPs close to the Islamist clan are clearly given carte blanche to cross all the red lines, to the dismay of a civil society that thought it could count on a truly independent and transparent justice.

At this rate, Tunisia is in danger of becoming increasingly mired in chaos as soon as its leaders continue to act of their own accord, putting any positive reform initiative on the back burner.
