The Minister of Health, Ali Mrabet, considered that the epidemiological situation in Tunisia is stable, while the global situation is worrying regarding the spread of the “Omicron” mutant, which prompted the Ministry of Health to take protective measures at the border crossings since the beginning of December .

After the cabinet meeting headed by Prime Minister Najla Boden, Ali Mrabet said that the government is ready for all possibilities and for any emergency, as hospitals, Covid paths, recovery and oxygen beds have been prepared, and “white operations” were carried out last Thursday in a number of hospitals.

Ali Mrabet called for the continued demand for vaccination, stating that, to date, 5 million and 400,000 citizens have been vaccinated, and that the third dose has been launched with more than 600,000 people have been vaccinated to date, adding that an open day for vaccination will be organized during the winter holiday, stressing at the same time the necessity of implementing the health protocol.
