Today, Tuesday, December 14, 2021, the expert in economics and development and the representative of the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social Rights, Jamel Eddine Aouididi, called on the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, to withdraw the 2016 law relating to the Central Bank of Tunisia.

During a symposium on stopping indebtedness policies, Aouididi spoke of the necessity that the central bank’s role should not be limited to monetary policy, but that it should have a social and economic policy to contribute to re-crystallizing development in Tunisia.

He said that the application of the IMF prescription led to the collapse of growth in Tunisia.

He added that the supply drain caused the indebtedness to reach a large proportion.
