On Monday, October 4th, President Kais Saied said that more than 1.8 million Tunisians went out all over the country on Sunday to express their support for the recent decisions.

It turned out that the number provided by the President of the Republic was misleading, as an official source from the Ministry of Interior confirmed to “JDD Tunisie” that Habib Bourguiba Street and the adjacent roads do not accommodate this number even if the iron barriers and wires adjacent to the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior were removed.

In the same context, our interlocutor added that the rest of the vigils during which Tunisians supported President Saied mostly included hundreds of citizens, and the largest gathering was in Sousse, which was attended by about 1,700 people.
