With the start of the countdown to school return 2021-2022, which will initially be on its usual date, that is, September 15, according to the developments in the epidemiological situation in the country, and pending a final agreement between the education unions and the Ministry of Education, preparations are in full swing in order to make the return successful and avoid all previous shortcomings and problems. .

The unions are keen on conditions for the return to school, including the settlement of the vaccination file for students between the ages of 12 and 17, a file that is still on the table of the Scientific Committee to confront Corona.

As for abandoning the regiment system, this issue has not yet been resolved. It was raised during the July 29th meeting that elapsed between the supervisory authority and the educational unions, and the final decision will be taken in the upcoming prospective meetings.

In a statement to Express FM, the general secretary of the General Syndicate of Secondary Education, Lassaad Yaqoubi, considered that the statement of the Minister of Education, Fathi Salouti, regarding abandoning the regiment system, constitutes a kind of unjustified haste and pushes towards a certain direction to return to school without a final agreement with the social parties.

Yaqoubi indicated that a previous meeting was held with the Ministry of Education and the trade unions, in which they talked about scenarios about returning to school, according to the development of the epidemiological situation, and he stressed specific conditions for the return to school to be successful, taking into consideration that the Scientific Committee has not yet decided on the Vaccination of 17 pupils between the ages of 12 and he wondered how the Minister of Education could propose a return to school while abandoning the regiment system without deciding on the issue of vaccination, and he stressed that talking about this scenario before deciding is considered a mistake.
