In a video, Sunday, July 11, 2021, Ridha Al-Radaoui, who is a member of the defense team for the two martyrs, Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi, , confirmed that the attempt to rescue the former prosecutor of the Tunis Court of First Instance, Bechir Al-Akermi, from his disciplinary file is still continuing.

Al-Radaoui directed his words to the judge who was assigned by Rached Ghannouchi, head of the Ennahda movement, to carry out this “deal,” according to his statement, saying, “We will reveal your full identity without any attempts to influence the defense staff.”

Al-Radaoui announced that the Judicial Council will not announce, as expected, the outcome of the disciplinary file for the accused, Bechir Al-Akermi, Monday, July 12, but will delay it again, noting that there is pressure on the inspection not to answer and not to submit the work requested of it.

On Thursday, June 1, 2021, the Disciplinary Council of the Judicial Council decided to postpone the announcement of its decision regarding the file of Judge Bechir Al-Akermi, and it is expected that the Disciplinary Council will announce its decision regarding the file of Bechir Al-Akermi July 12. Meanwhile, the consideration of the file of Judge Tayeb Rached was postponed to mid-July due to his presence outside the country.

It is noteworthy that the defense committee of the two martyrs, Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi, revealed in a press conference last Wednesday a number of dangerous data in relation to the file of Judge Bechir Al-Akermi and his involvement in several terrorist cases, covering them up and disrupting the file of the case of the martyr Chokri Belaid. He also revealed Parliament Speaker Rashid Ghannouchi’s involvement in interfering directly in the Judicial Council and in an attempt to save Al-Akermi. Last Wednesday, he received a judge active in the field of union and judicial associations, and assigned him to contact the parties involved in Al-Akermi’s file.
