President of the Judges’ Union Amira Al Ameri confirmed to JDD Tunisie on Thursday, September 9, 2021, that the union blesses the nomination of Judge Moncef Kchaou to the plan of the first president of the Court of Cassation, explaining that all judges interacted and unanimously nominated him.
She stressed that Judge Moncef Kchaou is known for his scientific competence and the abundance of his scientific crop, integrity and high morals and is known for neutrality and hand “hygiene”, and to advise his colleagues and that he will be the right man in the right place, noting that the Court of Cassation is sensitive and worthy of such a personality to return to its judicial glamour and legal radiation, describing his candidacy as a positive step to reform the Court of Cassation as she put it.
The President of the Tunisian Judges’ Union, Judge Amira Al Ameri, added that as a union of judges, they always push for the reform of the judicial system without settling accounts or loyalties, stressing that the aim is to restore balance to the Court of Cassation and the application of the law in the judicial body, indicating that judges are required to be impartial and impartial and to distance themselves from loyalties of all kinds to the recovery of the judicial facility and return to its blessing and the confidence of the people in it and to overcome the breaches that have distorted the judicial system.
On Wednesday, September 9, 2021, the Judicial Council announced that it had decided to nominate Moncef Kchaoufor the first president’s plan to the Court of Cassation and refer his candidacy file to the plenary session of the Supreme Judicial Council to consider submitting the exclusive nomination for the presidency.
