On May 14, the Algerian Minister of Health, Abdel Rahman Benbouzid, said that Algeria will reopen its closed borders for more than a year, to Algerian and foreign arrivals, but according to “very strict” conditions.

He said, “We have given our directions, according to the directions of the Scientific Committee, so that we will soon allow entry to Algerians or foreigners, but under very strict procedures.”

He explained that one of the most important conditions for entering Algeria is “presenting a PCR test for a period of less than 36 hours, while submitting to our tests that we trust.”

He said, “Whoever turns out to be positive, is subject to quarantine for 10 days.”

It should be noted that ,for the epidemiological situation in Algeria, the number of Coronavirus infections reached 127 thousand, with 3,418 deaths, and more than 80,000 people have recovered.
