In a statement, Thursday, December 23, 2021, the Workers’ Party condemned the judicial verdict issued against former President Moncef Marzouki, considering it “evidence of the state of the domesticated and dependent judiciary.”
He also considered that this verdict was a political one dictated by the Carthage Palace, a verdict that is added to the rest of the other unjust verdicts that affected activists and bloggers, the last of whom was Mariem Bribri, according to the text of the statement.
In its statement, the Workers’ Party called on all progressive forces to “double their vigilance towards employing state agencies to liquidate political opponents, fabricate cases and track activists, instead of opening the pending files that the Tunisian people are waiting for.
