According to a statement granted to “JDD Tunisia”, Ramzi Ben Daïa, lawyer for the president of “Qalb Tounes”, Nabil Karoui, assured that it was decided to release his client on Tuesday, June 15, 2021
The Criminal Chamber under the Supreme Court issued a decision not to return the case with the annulment of the extension of the arrest of Nabil Karoui.
Ben Daïa also added that the court cannot lay charges of money laundering against a citizen without evidence, nor extend the suspension without a court order.
It should be noted that the examining magistrate at the Economic and Financial Pole had extended the period of detention for a period of four months.
