The Council of the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA) decided in its session held on September 20, 2021, to impose a fine of forty thousand dinars on the private channel Elhiwar Ettounsi for violations related to non-respect of the behavioral rules of the advertisement.
These violations are especially the broadcast of shopping programs outside the specified time period. These violations were recorded after monitoring the channel’s programs that were broadcast on August 16 and 21, 2021.
The channel was considered in a state of recurrence, as the authority had previously issued a decision to it, on April 30, 2021, to shed a fine of twenty thousand dinars, according to the registration of violations related to advertising.
