This morning, Tuesday, June 29, 2021, the govrnor of Tunis, Chadli Boualak, announced that a meeting of the National Authority to combat the spread of the Corona virus will meet today to take a number of new measures for the Greater Tunis region.

Boualak confirmed that the epidemiological situation in the governorates of Greater Tunis has developed rapidly over the past four days, noting that the measures taken at the level of some delegations led to overcrowding and the transformation of gatherings into neighboring delegations.

Al-Wali said in an interview with “Shams FM” radio that the measures that were approved at the level of the delegations that know a large spread of the virus did not succeed, noting that 90 percent of the delegations in the Greater Tunis region are heading towards a targeted quarantine, because the comprehensive quarantine is currently not on the table, According to him

It is worth noting that the head of government Hichem Mechichi had decided ,yesterday, to invite members of the Scientific Committee, to hold an urgent session in order to determine the spread of new strains of the Corona virus, and to research practical, effective and effective ways to control the spread of infection by using all available capabilities, including decisions and maximum measures in order to preserve on the health of citizens.

He also met, via remote communication technology, with the governors of Greater Tunis, the Minister of Health, and security leaders to coordinate actions at the level of Greater Tunis, given the population density and the difficulty of separating the delegations.

The Prime Minister also instructed the  Minister of Justice, Hasna Ben Slimane, to open an investigation with the Public Prosecution into the circumstances of the death of the security man infected with the Corona virus in front of Ibn Jazzar Hospital in Kairouan.
