The ARP approved on Tuesday a bill on a loan between Tunisia and the World Bank for Reconstruction and Development to contribute to the financing of the project of support of poor families affected by the coronavirus.
This loan is about $ 300 million, with more than $ 22 million to fund the government’s communication plan, called “social protection”, as well as to support the methods of evaluation, monitoring and electronic transfer.
ARP has allocated $ 100 million to fund financial assistance in the form of exceptional subsidies for one million families through a supply of 300 dinars for fragile families and 180 dinars for poor families and limited income with assistance. circumstantial at the month of Ramadan and Aid Fitr.
The loan also aims, also, to finance the fundamental remittances of the continent as part of the social security program instead of the state budget, estimated at $ 120 million.
It will also contribute ($ 25 million) to improve the number of users at these remittances to 310,000 benefits in March 2024, which will be able to cover about 10%, known as the “Social Security” program for Poor families.
The last funding was estimated at $ 32 million, which had been allocated to transfers of approximately 100,000 children not exceeding five years, thanks to a monthly help at 30 dinars over 2022 and 2023.
