It is noteworthy that the Public Prosecution of the Criminal Department specialized in examining terrorism cases at the Court of First Instance in Tunis, which is responsible for the file of the martyr Chokri Belaid, had responded to several requests submitted by the defense team in the Belaid case, including performing technical mockery on the phones of the detainees and the phone of Abu Ayyad, and listening to two security officials in connection with the disappearance of some documents. Regarding the case file, the investigative judge also went to the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior and seized documents related to the assassination.
The file of the assassination knew many developments, as it was dismantled into two parts. The first is still with the investigative judge, and the number of detainees in it has reached six. As for the case file published by the Criminal Chamber of the Court of First Instance in Tunis, affiliated to the judicial pole for combating terrorism, it included more than 30 detainees.
