Today, Sunday, August 08, 2021, 551,008 people of the age group 40 years and over were vaccinated with the first dose of the anti-Coronavirus vaccine within the framework of the National Open Day in all states of the Republic of Tunisia, which is the final number for the number of vaccinated.
400,000 people were vaccinated until four o’clock in the evening, while the number was 312 thousand until one o’clock in the afternoon. A national day of vaccination against Corona occurred, as 335 vaccination centers were allocated in various states of the republic in order to contain the pandemic after its spread in the country. The day is dedicated to the age group 40 years and over.
It is noteworthy that the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, had confirmed on the sidelines of his visit to the vaccination center of the Farhat Hached Institute in Brades this evening that this day is the opening of the intensive campaign against Covid-19, which will be followed by other open days so that the largest possible number of Tunisians can be vaccinated.
