The US State Department warned all its citizens against traveling to Tunisia for many reasons, which it mentioned in a statement on its official website, on Wednesday, especially to prevent possible terrorist acts and the serious epidemiological situation in the country.
The US State Department said that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) placed Tunisia at the fourth level, which means that the risk level is very high due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation and the large number of infections with the Corona virus.
It noted that terrorist groups continue to plan potential attacks in Tunisia , adding, “Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, museums, resorts, hotels, festivals, nightclubs, restaurants, religious sites, markets/shopping malls, government facilities and security forces. ”
