Major General Andrew M. Rohling, commander of the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force in Africa. Regarding the participation of Tunisia in this exercise, the American official clarified that Tunisia had chosen to be part of the “African Lion 21”, as it had participated in the past to multiple other African Lions.
“Tunisia remains an important ally of the United States with a solid partnership; I visited Tunisia as part of the African Lion 21 and noticed the commitment of the Tunisian military to exercise and maintain stability and security on the African continent ”, said Rohling, in response to a question of the APR.
