This morning, Sunday September 05, 2021, the brother of the deposed Tunisian president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali Farid ben Hmada ben Ali died, following a fight against the disease.
Note that he is the second brother after Moncef Ben Ali, who died on May 15, 1996, in addition to their sister Naima Ben Ali.
It should be mentioned that the Ben Ali family is from the region of Hammam-Sousse.
Zine El Abidine Ben Ali had been President of Tunisia since November 7, 1987, following a coup against the former President, founder of the Republic of Tunisia, Habib Bourguiba. He fled the country on January 14, 2011, following a popular revolution.
Recall that, Ali fled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia until his death on September 19, 2019 at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Jeddah at the age of 83.
