For his part, Ennahda MP Mohamed Goumani confirmed that the deputies of parliament are committed to returning to start their work in the People’s Assembly, addressing the President of the Republic that if they are prevented from returning, they will resort to other ways.


Rached Ghannouchi, speaker of the frozen People’s Congress, stressed his commitment to his parliamentary capacity during an interview earlier this week with Al Jazeera Net, adding that it is necessary for the president to back down from the extraordinary decisions and return parliament to work.


Calls for dissolution of parliament


Social media sites posted videos of protests by citizens demanding the dissolution of parliament, and slogans were raised against mPs who were able to leave to avoid a worsening situation.
