Informed sources from the National Anti-Corruption Authority revealed today, Thursday, August 5, 2021, that the former head of government Hichem Mechichi moved at nine o’clock this morning to the authority’s headquarters to declare his gains after leaving office in accordance with the requirements of the law.

Our sources said that Mechichi was accompanied by a strict security escort, and he refused to give any talk or media statement.

In a statement accorded to a radio, Walid Jallad, a member of the frozen parliament, denied the information circulating about former Prime Minister Hisham Meshishi’s being attacked in the Carthage Palace on the night of last July 25.

He also explained that on July 27, he called Mechichi and was assured of his health, and he called him yesterday, Wednesday, “from the humanitarian door.”
