Daly added that the Public Prosecution is in the process of carrying out the necessary investigations to take what it deems appropriate, either by opening a new investigation or by including this contract in the current case related to the “lobbying” contract by Ennahda movement during the legislative elections in 2019.
It is noteworthy that Ennahda entered into a “lobbying” contract and was registered on July 29, 2021 in the US Department of Justice through the British BCW LLC office, and it was published on August 3, 2021, noting that this contract is worth $30,000, according to the published documents.
It is worth noting that a judicial investigation has been opened into three political parties, including Ennahda and Qalb Tounes, on suspicion of receiving funds from abroad during the 2019 election campaign.
