The 25th of July’s movement high assembly held a news conference on the seventh of August 2021 to support and back up the extraordinary decisions announced by the president Kais saied on july the 25th .
The general secretary of the movement Insaf Hammami expressed that the news conference will be meant to introduce the movement and its objectives and to be more united to sort out with collective results to back up the president’s decisions as she said.
Hammami added that discussion means returning to the old system and that time has come to alter the political and elective systems and thus respond to youngsters’ request.
The movement also appealed in its statement exposed in the held news conference to the dissolution of the parliament based on a referendum and hold early legislative elections.
It is worth noting that Tunisia witnessed a popular movement on July the 25th as a result of which the Tunisian president Kais Saied activated the 80th amendment of the constitution which resulted in the suspension of the parliament and whereby the head of government was dismissed and the parliament members were frozen.
