President Kais Saied stressed on Monday (September 20th, 2021) that the Tunisian revolution began on December 17, 2010, not January 14, 2011, and in a speech addressed to the Tunisian people directly from Sidi Bouzid state, the president said that 14 January was the date of the abortion of the revolution, he said.

The Head of State explained that many parties rely on sedition, panic and confusion to manage the crisis. “I expected that some people would have their actions as they stated and pledged them in public, in meetings and sessions, but I discovered that the real objectives of those who pretend to be honest are to further abuse the people and try to abort the revolution,” the president said. The President of the Republic pledged to disclose the number of concealments in a timely manner. President Kais Saied addressed the Tunisian people directly from Sidi Bouzid.
