The President of the Republic, Kais Saied, received, yesterday, journalists from the New York Times.

During this meeting, Saied said he wanted to put an end to all the rumors that some media are spreading.

In this context, he said that he did not invite the journalists in question to discuss with them but rather to tell Tunisians and the whole world that Tunisia, despite its crisis, is working to guarantee rights and freedom of its people based on the Constitution.

He added that no one can interfere with freedom of expression in Tunisia.

The head of state has affirmed that he hates the coups and the attempts to destroy the state from the inside.

” I’m not going to start a career as a dictator at this age” he continued.
