Saied said in a media statement that the people have the right to express their will freely, stressing their respect for the constitution constitutional legitimacy with the possibility of amendments to the text of the constitution.
Saied added, in press statements during a tour of Habib Bourguiba Street, central capital, that “there are those who talk about legitimacy and do not respect it”
“We respected the law, respected morals and all values, and promised them the word of truth, but those with whom we agreed broke promises,” Kais Saied said during a tour of Habib Bourguiba Street in Tunis.
“There are those who talk about legitimacy and do not respect it, and we are not afraid of those who have betrayed their homelands and covenants, and we will work to form a government as soon as possible,” Saied said.
He also stressed the effort to form a new government as soon as possible, saying: “We will carefully choose the ministers of the next government to achieve the demands of the people.”
The President of the Republic hinted at the possibility of amending the Constitution, saying: “I respect the Constitution, but amendments can be made to its texts. Constitutions are not eternal.”
Saied said: We are not advocates of chaos and the people have the right to express their will freely.”
