According to what was published by Middle East regarding the hacking of the phone of the Speaker of the People’s Representatives Assembly and the head of the Ennahda movement, Mr. Rached Ghannouchi, by an Israeli company and commissioned by an Arab country, it is important for Ennahda movement to:
- Denounce the targeting of the head of the legislative authority by a foreign party, and considers it an attack on the Tunisian state and its sovereignty, and calls in this regard the official authorities in Tunisia, especially the Presidency of the Republic and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to investigate the matter and take the required official position against this external aggression.
- Emphasize keenness on the strength of the relationship between Tunisia and all brotherly countries and not to involve the country in the agenda and conflict of the axes.
- Its deep regret at what has been attributed to official bodies in a brotherly Arab country adopting these methods that are not permitted by international laws, in addition to the fact that they affect the principle of national sovereignty, and their astonishment at the intention of this body to this action at a time when relations between Arab brothers must be based on mutual respect, non-interference in internal affairs, and avoidance of defamation and personal targeting.
- Its assertion that this targeting will only increase our adherence to our democracy and our confidence that Tunisia, with all its people, will pass this ordeal at the lowest costs, God willing, and will overcome all difficulties and challenges within the framework of dialogue and steadfastness on the approach of moderation and cooperation, and clinging to the foundations of national unity.
