Today, the deputy of Dignity Coalition, Maher Zid, confirmed that the Public Prosecution of Manouba Court issued a decision to release him after his arrest yesterday, revealing that he is currently in the lawyers’ office inside the aforementioned court and that he is protected by the “court” security after an attempt by a security squad to “kidnap him “as he said.
Zid said in a live video published by lawyer Hanen Khmiri, who is one of his lawyers who appeared with him in the video, that he was surprised as soon as he exited the front door of the court with an attempt by a “special security squad”, that he confirmed that its members were in civilian clothes and that they presented themselves as being from the Anti-Crime Squad, to “kidnap him.”
pointed out that he and a group of lawyers were able to return to the court and remain in the lawyers’ office, and that his lawyer, Anwar Al-Haj Ali, contacted the Republic’s attorney and transferred to him the record of the “violations” that his client was subjected to.
Recall that in the same video, lawyer Haj Ali explained the reasons after the release, revealing that the security squad requested the arrest of Maher Zaid and that he confirmed that the arrest had nothing to do with the “issue raised” and that they were “planning to kidnap him,” considering that what was happening was “revenges as a result of the July 25 coup.
