On Friday, Tunisian President Kais Saied said that Tunisia must be saved from those who tampered with the lives of citizens, and that it is waging a battle for national liberation, and moments of separation between right and wrong.
Kais Said added that billions were sent to Tunisia, but not entered the country, stressing that any official involved in any corruption operations will be held accountable.
Yesterday, Thursday, the Tunisian presidency reported, quoting President Kais Saied as saying that the country is living in exceptional circumstances and that state institutions are working, even if some of them have been frozen.
The Tunisian presidency quoted President Saied as saying to the army men as well: “You faced the health and political pandemics” in the context of defending the homeland.
He continued, addressing the army, in a video clip broadcast by the Tunisian presidency while bidding farewell to a Tunisian military mission that will participate in the UN air unit for rapid intervention, air escort and search and rescue in the Central African Republic: “You are the guards of the homeland and its protectors at home, and you have faced the health and political pandemics in the context of defending the homeland.”
The Tunisian security authorities managed a few days ago to overthrow a terrorist who planned to assassinate President Kais Saied during a visit he was going to take to a coastal city in eastern Tunisia.
