The head of the choura Council of the Ennahda Movement, Abdel Karim Harouni, said Monday, July 5, 2021, that the last meeting that brought together the movement’s leader, Rached Ghannouchi, and the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, was positive, and it is expected that a new stage will be built after this meeting, in the relationship between the Presidency of the Republic and Parliament and between the Presidency of the Republic and the Movement
In an interview with Al-Jazeera, Harouni added that the President of the Republic is a symbol of dialogue and the unity of Tunisians to search for solutions, including everything that helps to defeat the epidemic and raise the economic and social challenge, noting that the disruption that occurred in the past must not continue.
He said that the movement is waiting for Kaïs Saïed to help in the birth of the political government, noting that this will be in consultation with the President of the Republic.
He stated that the issue of forming a political government was not raised during the meeting between Ghannouchi and Saied because it was an interview to clear the atmosphere and support the rapprochement between the two men, stressing that other meetings will follow to form a political government that respects the will of the Tunisians in the elections and to get out of this experience that was not successful, as he put it,
