After the announcement of the head of state Kaïs Saïed, this Sunday evening, the freezing of the activities of the Parliament and the dismissal of the head of government, Hichem Mechichi, the president of the Assembly of the representatives of the people, Rached Ghannouchi, accused the President of the Republic of turning against the Revolution and the Constitution.
Ghannouchi, president of Ennahdha Movement, told Reuters that the institutions are still in place and that the supporters of the movement and the Tunisian people will defend the Revolution.
It should be noted that, The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed has announced that he will soon publish a text, applicable immediately, concerning the dismissal of the head of government Hichem Mechichi and the appointment of another person to lead the government
He, also, announced this Sunday, July 25, the freezing of the activities of the Assembly of People’s Representatives and the lifting of the parliamentary immunity of all deputies. He also said he will take over the head of the executive, announcing the end of the head of government’s mission.
