200 thousand doses of anti-covid-19 vaccine were offered monday by the United States of America (USA) for the benefit of Tunisia as part of the Covax initiative, said a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
Tunisia reiterated its thanks to the US for the continued support for the Tunisian people to help them fight the pandemic. This support testifies to the strong relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The U.S. Embassy in Tunisia said that with these doses of Pfizer vaccine, the set of vaccines offered by the United States, reaches nearly 2 million doses since last July.
The US Ambassador to Tunisia, Donald Blome, stressed in this regard, his country’s commitment to offer its support to the Tunisian people to help them cope with the coronavirus.
The goal is to save lives and promote safe and effective vaccines for the benefit of the population as soon as possible.
