According to a press release published on the official page of the National Order of Lawyers (ONA) on Facebook, on August 23, 2021 and more precisely at 14.04, the president of the Tunisian National Order of Lawyers (Onat), Brahim Bouderbala, the chief from the regional section of lawyers in Tunisia, Mohamed Hadfi, and Wissam Chebbi, a member of the branch council, visited Cahwki Tabib at his home, where he was placed under house arrest under a decision issued under the n ° 705 dated August 20, 2021.
In addition, they expressed their solidarity with Chawki Tabib noting that the decision imposed on him contradicts the guaranteed rights of the lawyer in relation to his profession and his constitutional right to move.
Recall that, the former president of the INLUUC Chawki Tabib was placed under house arrest by decision of the head of the Ministry of the Interior under Decree 50 of January 26, 1978 relating to the state of emergency.
This decision comes following the evacuation by the forces of the Odere, this Friday, August 20, 2021, of the officials of the premises of the Instance.
