The President of the Republic, Kais Saied, instructed Mr. Ridha Gharsallaoui, who is in charge of running the Ministry of the Interior, that no person should be prevented from traveling unless he or she was the subject of a summons, deposition in prison or a search.

The head of state stressed that this should be done in full respect for the law, the preservation of the dignity of all, and the observance of the obligations of travelers abroad.

The President of the Republic explained that what is being promoted about ill-treatment is pure slander from those who “are not satisfied with slandering on the ground, but rather they want to slander even while they are in the air.”

The Head of State expressed his thanks to all the police and customs officials at the land, sea and air border crossings for their efforts so that no one would escape from the judiciary if he or she was subject to prosecution and final judicial rulings were issued in his or her regard.
