The Ennahda Movement issued a statement following the arrest of frozen MP Seifeddine Makhlouf, expressing its solidarity with him.
In its statement, it stated the following:
Following the arrest of the lawyer, the deputy, and the head of the Dignity Coalition bloc, Mr. Seifeddine Makhlouf, in a humiliating manner and in violation of legal procedures before the military court, where he and his lawyers came to appear before the military investigative judge, the Ennahda movement:
1- Denounces these practices, which indicate a state of setback in respect for human rights, and demands a definitive end to them.
2- Expresses its solidarity with MP Seifeddine Makhlouf and with all victims of arbitrary arrests, house arrest, travel bans, and trials of civilians before military courts, which have escalated in frequency since the July 25 decisions.
