The Tunisian Judges Association will hold a press conference on Thursday 2 September 2021 at its headquarters in the Palace of Justice in Tunis, starting at half past ten in the morning, to shed light on the violations and what it described as negatives and violations, as well as the repercussions of the judicial movement 2021-2022 that the Supreme Judicial Council had announced a few days ago.

On Friday, August 27, 2021, the President of the Association of Judges, Anas Al-Hamaydi, spoke to “JDD Tunisie” about the breaches that marred the fifth judicial movement, expressing his rejection of this movement because of its many fundamental violations and clear favoritism.

Al-Hamaydi expressed his “shock” at the significant declines in the judicial movement, saying: “Instead of this movement urging reform and responding to the call to combat corruption and crime and being away from all political strife, it escalates judicial competencies and reviews important plans by evaluating the performance of the judiciary and promoting them through They carry out their duties and judges who have been involved in political bickering are excluded, but this has not happened and has not happened.”

Al-Hamaydi added that all those who enjoy professional competence, integrity and impartiality were excluded from the judicial plans, and the judicial plans were granted to judges of less seniority and competence. The Public Prosecutor, Khaled Abbas, took advantage of his position in the Supreme Judicial Council and extended his full influence.

It is noteworthy that the Judicial Judicial Council, in a communiqué issued on Friday, August 20, 2021, announced the judicial movement in the various courts and authorities. It included, 635 justice judges, for the judicial year 2021 and 2022.

This movement, approved and published by the Judicial Council, was distributed among 203 judges of the third rank, 133 judges of the second rank, and 299 judges of the first rank.
