The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, relieved, this Friday, August 20, 2021, the governor of Ben Arous of his functions. This dismissal comes after the visit that the head of state made this afternoon in the region where he visited a company selling construction materials in Fouchana. He found that a large amount of construction iron was stored in a shed. So we are talking about a shortage of this material.
He said anyone who monopolizes iron, school supplies or food will take responsibility.
“Whoever monopolizes iron will face the law ‘firmly’, and whoever imagines being able to play with Tunisians’ food is wrong,” he continued.
Elsewhere, the head of state explained that Governor Ben Arous has been dismissed from his post due to the scourge of monopoly in the region.
“The governor of Ben Arous has been removed from office until a new official comes to serve the citizens and not the smugglers,” he said.
