The general secretary of the central labor union, Noureddine Taboubi, commented on the reactions to the granting of authorization for the holding of an exceptional non-elective UGTT congress.
In the same context, he added, that the UGTT is directly targeted.
Taboubi also wondered how an organization that defends economic, social, general and individual freedoms could endanger the lives of citizens
He indicated that the controversy surrounding the holding of Congress is a storm in a glass of water, which aims to cover up the government’s failure to procure vaccines.
Speaking at the extraordinary non-elective congress of the Central Trade Union in Sousse, Taboubi felt that it was necessary to move on to the national dialogue, in order to put an end to the said crisis.
The trade unionist also proposed to amend some texts of the Constitution before going to the early elections.
