The spokesperson for the Ennahdha movement, Fethi Ayadi said on Wednesday that “the movement supports the formation of a strong political government, after consultation with the head of government, the head of state and the political parties”, specifying , however, that he also supports a government led by Hichem Mechichi.

In a statement to TAP, Ayadi said the “Ennahdha movement is for a government led by the current head of government, Hichem Mechichi,” adding that the idea of ​​its composition will be presented to him.

He added: “It would be desirable for the head of government to accept it and help us in this regard. If he does not agree with this choice, we will leave it to the party institutions to seek other means to achieve this objective, that of forming a political government. ”

The party is in the process of establishing contacts, he said, specifying that his executive office will soon announce the official launch of consultations with the head of government, the President of the Republic and the political parties for training. of political government.

“The movement had always underlined, since it won the elections, the importance of political governments, but in view of the economic situation, it was forced to support the Hichem Mechichi government, appointed by the head of state” , he explained.

The idea of ​​forming a political government has been welcomed by some political parties such as Qalb Tounes and Tahya Tounes. Indeed, the president of the bloc Qalb Tounes Oussama Khelifi estimated that “if the formation of a political government presents itself as a solution, his party can only be favorable”.

For his part, Walid Jalled (Tahya Tounes) declared on a radio that his party “will consider the question if it will contribute to the settlement of the crisis between the executive power and the legislative power”.

Conversely, opposition parties have criticized the idea of ​​forming a political government led by Hichem Mechichi which, according to them, constitutes “a headlong rush and an investment on the part of Ennahdha in failure” .

The Shura council of the Ennahdha movement called on Monday in a statement issued at the end of its 50th session, on July 3 and 4, for “the formation of a strong political government for the next stage. who is able to deal with topical issues.
