On Saturday and Sunday, July 3 and 4, 2021, the Ennahda Shura Council held its fiftieth session via remote communication technology, in the presence of members of the executive and political offices, members of the parliamentary bloc, regional public secretaries, heads of the regional Shura councils and the Central Youth Office
The movement is expected to issue a statement in the coming hours, revealing its position on the current issues, including how to “give the necessary efficiency to the government of Hisham al-Mashishi, which is performing its tasks with almost half of its composition due to the failure to nominate the new ministers despite having obtained the confidence of the House of People’s Representatives for the past 7 months.”
According to data obtained by JDD Tunisie, the Ennahda Shura, which is the highest authority within the party between two congresses, adheres to Hisham al-Mashishi as prime minister, while calling for modifications to be made to the composition of the government to take into account the composition of Parliament and the political scene.
The movement believes that the health, social and economic situation that the country is going through requires changes, according to our sources, without revealing the nature or size of these changes.
The meeting of the movement also considered the arrangements for holding the conference, around which differences arose that led to heavy withdrawals from the party leadership and was postponed “due to the pandemic”, as it reviewed the work of the various committees that were entrusted with the task of preparing in different axes
